Since dinner and a show are my 2 ultimate favorite extra-curricular activities,
it is no surprise that in spite of my exhaustion I have chosen to spend yet another night on Broadway.........
I finally got to see A Little Night Music.
Catherine Zeta Jones stood us up, but her understudy was phenomenal!!!
Jayne Paterson gave a wonderful performance: her voice is beautiful and the way she froze on stage left us gaping with amazement....
And, of course, there was Angela Lansbury.
At 85 years old, this woman is extroardinarly funny (:
She doesn't quite sing like Mrs. Pot here, but is a valuable add to the show.
Overall, this mainstream musical is definitely a fun one to watch (though a bit too long) ---> add it somewhere around the middle of the shows-to-see-on-broadway list.
Yours truely,
your faithful broadway critic.
