(and maybe a ballet or two).
I have decided I'm gonna conquer broadway as long as I'm in the city!
I just got back from "In The Heights" - a musical about 20 something in Washington Heights. It's rap + latino styles. It was a fun musical...
Which is not so bad after the masochism of "Next to Normal" yesterday (-;
I just love this musical and can't get enough!
Apperently I'm not the only one: all the people I meet in the lottery and after the show have seen it more than me (13, 49, 74 times) and it started in 2008 off-broadway and in March 2009 on broadway!!!
It leaves Wicked way behind (I am a 3 times lottery winner and met people who go like 8 times a year since it started in 2001), but the race is still going....
And the race to catch up with all the shows on broadway is also going: out of 35 musicals and plays running at the moment on broadway, I have seen 11.
I guess I won't get to see them all (since Hamlet is closing on Sunday) but I promise I'll do my best to see most of them....
Meanwhile I recommand you not to see Oleanna and do see Memphis (despite the fact you'll probably reduce the age average in the theater)!!!
